Living a full and healthy life requires a healthcare provider that not only provides the very best in healthcare, but also cares about the families they serve. A health care provider like Kaiser Permanente Orange County goes beyond simply offering health insurance coverage to a becoming families’ health care partner. We have been Kaiser Permanente members for over 7 years. When we moved to the Inland Empire I was in search of a high quality nearby medical facility to provide the best healthcare for my family and I. Kaiser Permanente was the perfect fit during our years of living in the Inland Empire and continues to be all these years later. Now that we have moved back to Orange County we have continued to see a wide variety of KP specialists. With four crazy, active kids we certainly make good use of our KP health insurance! I am KP Thrive Ambassador, all opinions are my own.
The KP Mobile app – A Busy Mom’s Best Friend
One of my favorite aspects of Kaiser Permanente is the KP mobile app. Free to download and insanely user friendly, I have the ability to make appointments, check on upcoming appointments and view my mine and my children’s medical record. The KP mobile app is a busy mom’s best friend because it is helpful when I am out and about and not near my computer.
KP Facilities
Making and scheduling an appointment with a healthcare professional at Kaiser Permanente is easy. I have the appointment center’s phone number saved in my phone so that I can make a quick phone call, or I can make an appointment at KP.org, or I can use the handy KP app with the touch of a button. Whichever method I choose, it’s always very easy. However, getting to that scheduled appointment might be the most convenient aspect of the process. Our new favorite medical offices are located off of Lakeview Avenue in Anaheim. There is always several nearby parking spots available, the offices are always clean and bright, the medical staff is amazingly patient with my rowdy children and the waiting rooms (especially the kids waiting room) are amazing. My knowing that we will be seen quickly and efficiently so that we may go about our day makes visiting KP easy and amazing.
My Most Recent KP Experience
Although my family and I have had many innocuous medical experiences with KP over the years, it has been during the most stressful and scary medical emergencies that I have come to love and appreciate Kaiser Permanente so much. Recently, I had a very painful (and super gross) throat infection that went above and beyond normal strep throat. It was so nasty in fact that I had to visit the emergency room to get immediate care. I was terrified, for good reason of course because I had never had to visit the emergency room by myself. It was the care and attention by David Michael Moss M.D. who gave my several IV’s, painkillers and antibiotics to make me feel better again that made me at ease. He even went out of his way to bring me juice and insured that I had a follow up appointment the next day. The care and attention that I received helped me realize that I didn’t have to be in pain, that there was help to get better and to get better quickly.
In the following months I will be sharing more about Kaiser Permanente with you. Such as the umbrella of KP care, tips to staying healthy during the flu season, total KP wellness, my experiences having my babies at KP, and how to prepare for a medical emergency. I hope you enjoy learning more about Kaiser Permanente as much as I love sharing about it!

Very timely for me to read this since we are getting Kaiser on Wednesday with my husband’s new job. We have had Health net/UCLA for many years. I don’t think HN has an appt app that I know of. This will be useful.
