Some time in the last 30 years since I was a small girl, Strawberry Shortcake got a modern makeover. No longer a frumpy patchwork doll, Strawberry Shortcake is lively, bright, happy and cute. I only wish she was so cute back 30 years ago when I was 2 years old.
The hip new Strawberry Shortcake and her fellow Berry friends: Orange Blossom, Lemon Meringue, Blueberry Muffin, Raspberry Torte, Plum Pudding, and Cherry Jam are traveling to 32 cities throughout the U.S. and Canada including New York, Los Angeles, Vancouver and Toronto for the live show “Strawberry Shortcake: Follow Your Berry Own Beat”. The live show which is produced by Koba Entertainment is upbeat, family friendly and will most certainly have your own berry little girl dancing in her seat! The colorful Doodlebops Rooney, Moe and Dee Dee Doodle open the show and sing their favorite songs.
My 2 year old daughter and I went on a “mother-daughter” date on Saturday night to see Strawberry Shortcake Live at the Nokia Club. She was awestruck at the bright colors and upbeat music just like the other 100’s of little girls attending the show were. The little over an hour show was cute and the perfect outing for our mother-daughter date. It was special to me to share one of my favorite childhood character’s with my daughter.
In a pre-party to the live show, we got to meet the Berry girls ourselves and snack on milk and cookies. Of course the pinnacle of our mother-daughter date was most certainly seeing the show!
There are still plenty of dates left to see this fun show. Check out Strawberry Shortcake Live On Tour for more details.
