This obstructed picture, which is completely unedited is something only a mother could love. Behind that big, white, obnoxious obstruction (which is a colored drawing by my toddler) is a cute baby. A cute baby that was eating out of the dog’s dish. I took several pictures of him eating dog food, (because that’s the kind of photographic memories I want him to have as an adult) before my 2 year old daughter got jealous and needy of my attention. She did what she knew best. She started throwing a fit and waved her colored paper around until I stopped taking pictures of the cute baby and started giving her the attention she craved.

The white paper can be used as a thought bubble, “Peek-A-Boo”. Either way it’s a cute photo. You can see him propping himself up on the doggie dishes. Adorable!

Definitely a scenario that a mother would smile at…I did!

My kids usually just use their hand or jump in front of the camera with their WHOLE body! Hilarious captured moment. Love it.

What a cutie! That is so adorable.. Capture every moment because they do grow up so fast. When I see pics like these it reminds of when my boys where little.
Happy Mother’s Day!

Pictures of your kid eating dog food will be worth a fortune in humiliation points when he’s a teen-ager. Nothing like blackmail to get a kid to behave. (Okay, not really, but it is fun to consider.)

Thanks for the backstory. Otherwise I would have thought “um, Desiree, there’s a piece of paper in the way.” You’re right, sometimes truly wordless doesn’t work.
