Grossery Gang Fun!
Hi everyone! It’s Heather here, we recently had the opportunity to attend The Grossery Gang Movie Premiere! When Desiree Eaglin of The Funny Mom Blog asked if I’d be interested in being grossed out by attending the premiere of The Grossery Gang Vs The Clean Team – Putrid Power, my adulting mom brain screamed ewwwww! I knew my son and nephew who is visiting from out of town would find this a grossly awesome experience. So I couldn’t pass this opportunity up! We weren’t really sure what to expect by attending the premiere, so we got to talking on the drive to LA. The kids knew some of the characters and were super excited to see them on screen and they were both hoping to interact with them. I was super excited about the valet parking (parking in LA can be a challenge), seeing their happy faces and learning more about the characters because I had a feeling I’d be playing Grossery Gang with the kids very soon. This is a sponsored post, all opinions are our own.
Adorable and Disgusting!
I’ll be honest, I was one of those moms that steered my kid away from toys like Moose Toys’ Grossery Gang. I’m from a generation where disgusting toys were rampant, like dolls representing characters from horror films and trading cards featuring dolls that were once super cute and fresh from the patch turned trashy and nasty. Did I want my son playing with these “gross” toys? It turns out that heck yes I do! The Grossery Gang is not inappropriate in content. The characters are creative, adorably disgusting and a lot of fun!
In The Grossery Gang Vs. The Clean Team – Putrid Power friends Pizza Face, Rocky, Meathead and Ricardo gain super hero strength in order to save Cheap Town and Yucky Mart from being sterilized by the Clean Team and their evil overlord, Vac Attack. The movie is great and totally fun for the whole family!
A Gross Day
The event was full of fun! After handing the keys of my own personal trash can on wheels off to the valet and thanking them profusely for being so brave, we checked in and were greeted by non-icky, non-stinky humans who gifted mini trash cans of Grossery Gang figures to the kids and raffle tickets to the grown-ups. The kids posed on the green carpet (they felt like little stars) with their new toys. It was a totally gross introduction to a day full of fun!
We strolled into the Cinefamily theater where we picked up drinks and popcorn, in themed bags, of course, found a few seats and got comfy. A few minutes later, the kids were invited to meet Youtube influencers, the super funny Random Guys. They were great with the kids, had bounding energy and personality. The kids also had their pictured taken with Putrid Pizza. Once everyone had taken their seats, raffle ticket numbers were called and gift bags from Moose Toys were given out. Then the Random Guys played host to two games where kids were chosen from the audience to compete in either the grossest face contest or the dance-off. My son was chosen for “make the grossest face” game and although he didn’t win for the grossest face, he was still rewarded with a gift bag making him a VERY happy kid!
So Much Gross Fun!
After the movie, we were invited to the patio where there was food, fun and photo opps! The food was movie themed like mini burgers that looked like Meathead and tiny donuts that looked like Rocky. My crew kept busy pawing through slime and sticky stuff in search of just the right Grossery Gang figure, playing with the trash truck and other toys and looking at toy displays. My nephew was being a trooper the entire time, because although he received the mini trash can of figures, his cousin received a gift bag FULL of figures and toys. When the event staff heard this, they quickly brought a bag out for my nephew as well. They were so thoughtful and wonderfully kind.
Soon enough it was time to wrap things up. Handing my parking slip to the valet, I turned to find the kids sprawled out on the green carpet oggling their new Grossery Gang toys from Moose Toys. I had the most peaceful drive home filled with chitter chatter from the back seat about all things disgusting. That’s a conversation I’d never have thought would bring me peace!
The Grossery Gang vs. The Clean Team – Putrid Power was released in theaters July 29th. Go get grossed out with your small fries!
