This momma of 4 needs a break.
Don’t get me wrong – I love my kids, I really do. But having all 4 of them home every day this summer is driving me a bit batty. Because the truth of it is, managing 4 different kids personalities and 4 different sets of needs is overwhelming. Like, beyond overwhelming. So I have found through the years that what works best for me is to take “breaks”. Since I do not have the kind of luxury that allows me to leave the confines of my home without my children very often I have become creative in carving out “me” time during the long summer days. While my younger kids are napping and my 7 year old is content playing video games I often make myself a refreshing glass of Bigelow iced tea and I set yummy snacks on a tray as if I am at a fancy hotel and I lounge in the pool.
I tell ya, the simple act of setting up a tray with a tall glass of refreshing iced tea and finger snacks to enjoy out in my own backyard by the pool does wonders for this stressed mom’s well being. That 1/2 hour of not hearing “mom, mom, mommy, MOM, mommeeeee!!!” is amazing. Not to forget to mention that the cold glass of Bigelow iced tea is perfect for the hot summer days.
I found the adorable plastic mason jar cup at Walmart while I was there picking up more #AmericasTea Bigelow Tea for my “me” time. I found the cute starfish cookies there too. And nothing is better on a warm summer day than some summer cherries!
In my adorable plastic mason jar cup is Bigelow Tea’s Pomegranate Pizzazz Herbal Tea. It is sweet and tangy bursting with a fruity fresh flavor. What is amazing about Bigelow Tea-besides that Bigelow Tea has been a part of American tradition since 1942 is that the tea is always fresh and delicious thanks to the special foil pouch to protect the tea from any air.
Making Bigelow Iced Tea is super easy. You simply boil water in a kettle (it’s better to boil cold water) and then steep the Bigelow Tea bag for at least 4 minutes (steep it longer if you like a stronger flavor) and then pour over ice. It’s that easy!
So I asked Missy to help me pick out a new flavor of Bigelow Tea at Walmart and she’s looking at the wrong brand. I can’t blame her, she just isn’t tall enough. haha.

Bigelow is on Facebook and Twitter too!
How do you carve out “me” time for yourself?

If I had a pool in my backyard I’d love to go there for some me time when my daughter is napping too! The plastic mason jars are great and the Bigelow iced tea looks so refreshing! #client
