There is no better time to enjoy Southern California weather like there is in the summer time! The weather is perfect for spending time outdoors. I love combining fun with history don’t you? What better place is there to enjoy the summer time sun than at an important California’s history fixture – our very first amusement park Knotts Berry Farm?
Did you know that Knott’s Berry Farm is special to Southern California history? As many of you know, Knott’s Berry Farm started off as a berry farm in the 1920’s by Walter and Cordelia Knott. However, did you know that Mrs. Knott served eight of her now infamous fried chicken dinners on her wedding china for only $0.65 each to help end meet during the depression? The dinners became a fast and popular hit and to entertain the waiting Chicken Dinner restaurant patrons, Mr. Knott created the Ghost Town in the 1940’s. Mrs. Knott’s friend chicken dinner restaurant now serves more than 1. 5 million guests each year, and is the largest full-service restaurant that serves chicken as its main course. It’s safe to say that Mrs. Knott’s famous fried chicken dinners was the gateway to the very first amusement park!
Knott’s Berry Farm now spreads over 160-acres of fun-filled, snoopy hugging, funnel cake scarfing, laughter inducing land which encompasses the 321 room Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel, Knott’s MarketPlace shopping and dining area and the 13-acre Knott’s Soak City Water Park.
Knott’s Berry Farm is offering seasonal passes for only $69.99 for adults and $64.99 for seniors (62+) and kids (3-11).
Seasonal passes can even be purchased in 3 easy, low payments of only $23.33! Seasonal passes are valid through December 31st, 2012.

LUCY of course! She’s an obnoxious, abrasive, outspoken brat and I love that about her. You know there is a wee bit of Lucy in me. I love that picture of us up there. Hope the sleep deprivation isn’t warping you too badly. By the way, after our Knott’s Brunch adventure, I went back and had a chicken dinner at Mrs. Knotts another day – it was so delicious!!

My favorite Peanuts character is Snoopy! I love him because of his human-like personality, silly laugh, and funny antics. When I was a child I had a Snoopy doll you could dress in authentic Snoopy clothes purchased from Hallmark, and I also had a Snoopy watch. How could anyone not like Snoopy? : )
