I’ll have to keep this event in mind next year. I’ve always wanted to try kayaking, but I don’t think my balance is great right now to try it. haha (huge preggo belly)

What I love most about sailing is the combination of confidence and humility that it teaches. You know where you want to go, and you know the various conditiins that will help or hinder that goal, then you confidently use your own skills, knowledge, and experience to find the compromise that most safely and efficiently meets your needs. On the other hand, you also learn that the sea doesn’t care if you’re rich or poor, happy or depressed, republican or democrat. All that matters is whether or not you can deal with the conditions. Facing that question honestly can be humbling, but also a steep towards wisdom and growth.
