Kids learn best by doing – whether it’s by doing intentional learning lessons or learning by play – kids have the ability to soak up lessons like a sponge. To make learning fun for my 4 year old daughter who is soooo not in to intentional learning lessons from me, we play educational games. That way she’s having fun but also learning important preschool lessons such as colors, numbers and the alphabet. Blue Orange Games, the leading designer and manufacturer of tabletop games for the family has created Disney versions of their popular Spot it! games that will be released this Fall. We received a Spot It! game for review, all opinions are my own.
What is neat about Spot it! matching games, is that children can learn association (matching) in conjunction with alphabet, symbol and number recognition. In other words, while they’re having fun family bonding time over playing a card game, they’re also learning to recognize the alphabet! I love that and my 4 year old daughter loved it too.
We chose to receive a Sophia the First Spot It! game because Sophia is all the rage currently in the Eaglin household. Each Spot it! game comes with 55 cards, illustrated rules and is designed for kids ages 3 and up. Kids can play Spot it! while learning valuable skills such as: Visual Perception – Speech & Language – Focus & Attention – Processing Speed. I like that the cards are a perfect circle and come in a handy tin circle box for easy safe keeping.
Other Spot it! Disney game versions include characters such as Doc McStuffins Numbers & Shapes, Jake and the Neverland Pirates Numbers & Shapes, Disney Planes Alphabet, Disney Frozen Alphabet, Disney Princesses Words, Disney Pixar Words and more!
