Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away
The early summer hit: Lucasfilm’s “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” was the daring film charting the adventure filled past of Han Solo, the iconic galactic scoundrel and one of the most beloved characters in cinema history. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his mighty (and totes adorbs) future copilot Chewbacca while they encounter the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that sets the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.
The smash action-adventure hit was directed by Academy Award winning filmmaker Ron Howard and stars Alden Ehrenreich (“Hail, Caesar!,” “Tetro”), Woody Harrelson (“Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri,” “The Messenger”), Emilia Clarke (“Me Before You,” “Game of Thrones”), Donald Glover (“Spider-Man: Homecoming,” “The Martian”), Thandie Newton (“Gringo,” “Crash”), Phoebe Waller-Bridge (“Fleabag,” “Killing Eve”) and Paul Bethany (“Captain America: Civil War,” “Master and Commander”). Joonas Suotamo (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) returns to play Chewbacca.
We were invited to a press day on behalf of the film’s Blu-Ray and Digital release. All opinions are our own.
Enjoy the adventure from the comfort from your own home

The Unbelievable Bonus Content
Bonus Content takes fans behind the scenes to experience the most entertaining and compelling discussions with the star-studded cast and screenwriters Jonathan Kasdan and Lawrence Kasdan (writer of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi). Other bonus features include my favorite: Chewie and his enduring friendship with Han; a close-up look at the original version of the Millennium Falcon and Han’s first time piloting the infamous ship; teh creation of the film’s otherworldly settings; and 8 never before seen delted and extended scenes!
During the press day that I was fortunate enough to attend, we were given the opportunity to view several pieces of the SOLO bonus content and boy o’ boy it was great! I am a huge, huge, huuugggeee fan of all things Chewbacca and I loved viewing the behind-the-scenes stuff about him and his relationship with Han.
Meeting Darth Maul
During the press day of SOLO, we had the opportunity to meet Ray Park who plays Darth Maul. He was such an incredibly warm and gracious guy. He even introduced himself and shook everyone’s hands in the room! Ray taught us how to do a few martial arts moves with his light sabers. At the end of our meeting, I got to take a picture with him. Of course, in true Funny Mom fashion I couldn’t take a normal picture, and I opted for a goofy face I stabbed Darth Maul but he cut off my head in retaliation picture instead. Ha! Nevertheless, it was truly an unbelievable experience!
Let’s chat about Chewie…
As I mentioned, I am a huge Chewbacca fan and having the opportunity to meet him in person during the SOLO press day was one of the biggest highlights of my career. Fun Fact: I was expecting his coat to feel soft like fluff, but much to my surprise his coat felt like stragly, unbrushed hair! Ha!
