“I like smiling; it’s my favorite,” Says Buddy the elf in the movie “Elf”
Hands down, my favorite line from a movie. As moms, it’s safe to say that there is no better sight on earth than the sight of our happy, healthy kids smiling. My kids sweet, happy faces makes me snap out of any bad mood, lifts any dark cloud and has the ability to stop me dead in my tracks. Being a mom is hard work, but the most rewarding sight is their bright, shiny smiles.
A smile – from a stranger or from someone we know and love can brighten the darkest of days and saddest of moods, but did you know it could also help children stay healthy and create new smiles too?
The makers of Tylenol have created the “Smiling It Forward” campaign which provides happiness to those involved and health to children that need it. They have made it easy for everyone to join the movement too. By simply sharing a photo that makes you smile at SmilingItForward.com, Tylenol will make a $1 donation to Children’s Health Fund (minimum donation of $75,000 and a maximum donation of $100,000). These generous donations will help to ensure a doctor’s visit is always within reach for children in need. Children’s Health Fund, which provides “medical clinics on wheels,” was founded in 1987 by singer/songwriter Paul Simon and Dr. Irwin Redlener and provides much needed healthcare to children in need nationwide.
I’m smiling it forward because…
So now, I would like you to help “Smile it Forward” with me by visiting SmilingItForward.com, uploading a picture of your kids, your dog, your husband, your girlfriend or whoever makes you smile and help a child in need get the health care they deserve. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you.
