It has been less than two weeks since the start of preschool and I already see a difference in my two year old. He misses his big sister. He misses her company, her constant loving smothering, he misses his best friend. Never one to watch television, while his older siblings are at school my 2 year old toddles around the house playing with the cat, his monster trucks and his trains. If I didn’t know any better I would say he seems lonely and aimless in his attempts at entertaining himself. There really is only so much I can do to entertain him before I set him off on his own.
On Tuesday at lunch time he played musical chairs at the kitchen table. He sat in each of the empty seats, filling each of his older siblings spots. Kind of like little red riding hood, he had a taste of each seat before finally breaking down in a temper tantrum. He would move his body in each seat, but he would forget his food at the old seat. In the picture above, you can see he has moved seats once again – yet he forgot his food across the table. He sat and he cried as I watched from the kitchen sink.
It seems we all have some adjusting to do while Missy is at preschool.

OH that is heartbreaking. Poor little guy. But it has to happen eventually right? Take hear – he won’t even remember this. It’s enough that you will.
