This July, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey, the circus that started it all, invites fans to blast off on an intergalactic adventure with the launch of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Presents Out Of This World. Feld Entertainment, Inc., the world’s leading producer of live family entertainment, is proud to announce that this new, immersive experience will debut on the West Coast for the first time in the 145 year history of Ringling Bros., marking the Tour World Premiere at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles on Thursday, July 14, 2016; playing STAPLES Center July 14 – 19, followed by Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario from July 22 – 26 and rounding out the Southland engagement at the Honda Center in Anaheim from July 29 – August 7. The Greatest Show On Earth
For more than 145 years, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey has entertained millions of Southland families with their show-stopping acts and awe-inspiring circus performances. Now, with recent retirement of the renowned pachyderms to Florida at the Center for Elephant Conservation, Ringling Bros is embarking upon a new era to bring the “The Greatest Show On Earth” to the next generation of fans. For the first-time ever in its 145 year touring history, the multi-million dollar production will be debuting on the West Coast. Audiences will continue to be delighted with heart pounding thrill that comes from watching death defying feats, majestic animals and amazing performers in a spectacular live event that will mesmerize the senses and create memories to be share for generations to come.
Out Of This World
“As we unveil Out Of This World, a show unlike anything experienced before, we are launching our iconic brand into the future,” said Alana Feld, Executive Vice President of Feld Entertainment and Producer of Out Of This World. “Ringling Bros. is constantly changing, but this is more than that. In this production, we’re creating a new genre of circus that will shatter expectations, spark excitement and push the limits of what’s possible.” In Out Of This World, audiences will be riveted by an interactive, action-packed story line filled with space-age family fun and technology, which deepens their connection to the performers. Through the lens of a magic telescope capable of discovering the most spectacular circus stars in the galaxy, they will join the Circus Space Fleet on a heroic mission of good versus evil to bring performers back to Earth, traveling to interstellar worlds of sand, water, fire and ice. For the first time, the show features thrill skaters, in addition to unbelievable performances by gravity- defying acrobats, majestic animals and hilarious clowns. Imaginations will run wild throughout the non-stop display of artistic athleticism, with acts seamlessly transitioning from floor to air to ice, a feat never before done in Ringling Bros. history. “By adding the element of ice, we’re bringing speed and motion to an already thrilling, multi-sensory performance,” said Feld. “Throughout the show, families won’t know where the floor ends and the ice begins. In the same way, parents won’t know what’s more amazing: what is happening in front of them or the look of wonder in their children’s eyes.” Sounds too incredible to be real amiright?
