When you live adventurously and you’re always on the go you need a shoe that can keep up that isn’t a bulky boot. Ridgemont Outfitters, an outdoor lifestyle brand inspired by the attitude and aesthetic of Southern California has created a line of rugged shoes that are high quality, water resistant and look good. We received products for review purposes, all opinions are our own.
The Monty has been designed with rugged durability and cool, throwback urban aesthetic. The new style combines the essential technical qualities found in a hiking shoe, yet is still good enough aesthetically to wear for everyday use. I love them for every day daily adventures from running through the rugged terrain of the grocery store or hiking through the treacherous landscape of our local park. They look good with both jeans and shorts, or yoga pants like mine. With the Ridgemont Outfitters, I know that no matter what happens throughout the day I have a shoe that can keep up (and look good doing it!).
“The underlying premise with Ridgemont is to create footwear capable of handling tough conditions that you can also wear out later, without looking like you’re preparing to summit Denali. Our product gets you through the day, whether that means a weekend surf check, a strenuous hike, or your daily commute to your local breakfast spot,” states Stacy Lowery, founder.

The Ridgemont Outfitters Monty is available in two styles, the Hi and the Lo. MSRP: Monty Hi: $99.00 –Monty Lo: $95.00. I chose the Monty Lo to review because I prefer low shoes and they are super comfortable and surprisingly light. I highly recommend them!
