Are You Ready to Kick Some Asteroid?
The long awaited Ratchet & Clank The Movie will be released in theaters nationwide on April 29th 2016. The highly anticipated film will be a retelling of the events of the original popular 2002 game detailing how Ratchet and Clank first met, as well as their fight against Chairman Drek with lots of cool stuff in between of course. The Funny Kids and I are always up for a fun movie with a great message and we are so excited to see Ratchet and Clank The Movie. This is a sponsored post, all opinions are my own.
The new film will be geared for kids 5+ and my 9 year old son is a huge fan of Ratchet a”lombax” – which is a fictional feline like species from the series, he loves his antics and witty charm. My son may be the most excited 9 year old alive to see Ratchet & Clank The Movie!! I’m most excited to see more from Clank, the small and quirky robot sidekick of Ratchet.
The official synopsis of Ratchet & Clank The Movie
A CG-animated movie based on the iconic PlayStation video game. Two unlikely heroes struggle to stop a vile alien named Chairman Drek from destroying every planet in the Solana Galaxy. Ratchet is the last of his kind, a foolhardy “lombax” who has grown up alone on a backwater planet with no family of his own. Clank is a pint-sized robot with more brains than brawn. When the two stumble upon a dangerous weapon capable of destroying entire planets, they must join forces with a team of colorful heroes called The Galactic Rangers in order to save the galaxy. Along the way, they will learn about heroism, friendship, and the importance of discovering one’s own identity.
Celebrities Cast Galore!
The impressive celebrity talent joining the film include: Paul Giamatti as Chairman Drek, John Goodman as Ratchet’s mechanic mentor Grimroth, Bella Thorne as Galactic Ranger Cora, Rosario Dawson as Galactic Ranger support team member Elaris and Sylvester Stallone as Victor Von Ion, Chairman Drek’s villainous lieutenant. Fans of Ratchet and Clank will be happy to note that Ratchet, Clank, Nefarious and Captain Qwark will also be back, voiced by the same actors as in the games.
Ratchet & Clank The Game To Come Later This Year!
Insomniac Games is also hard at work at Ratchet & Clank for the PS4, a re-imagination of the original game that started it all 13 years ago. The game will be out later this year and will wow players with amazing graphics and a retelling of the original story. The game will also feature several new levels along with re-imagined classic places like Metropolis, brand new weapons and completely redone visuals made possible by the power of the PlayStation 4.
