Ralph Breaks the Internet Review
Breaking History
Ralph Breaks the Internet hits theaters nationwide today, November 21st 2018. Being Walt Disney Studios only 2nd sequel in history (the Incredibles was the first), Ralph Breaks the Internet knocks sequels out of the park. We were lucky to attend a screening and press conference of the film, all opinions are our own.

Official Synopsis:
“Ralph Breaks the Internet” welcomes back to the big screen video-game bad guy Ralph and fellow misfit Vanellope von Schweetz. This time, they leave Litwak’s video arcade behind, venturing into the uncharted, expansive and fast paced world of the internet—which can be both incredibly exciting and overwhelming, depending on who you ask. In “Ralph Breaks the Internet,” video-game bad guy Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) and best friend Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) leave the comforts of Litwak’s arcade in an attempt to save her game, Sugar Rush. Their quest takes them to the vast, uncharted world of the internet where they rely on the citizens of the internet—the Netizens—to help navigate their way. Lending a virtual hand are Yesss (voice of Taraji P. Henson), the head algorithm and the heart and soul of the trend-making site “BuzzzTube,” and Shank (voice of Gal Gadot), a tough-as-nails driver from a gritty online auto-racing game called Slaughter Race, a place Vanellope wholeheartedly embraces—so much so that Ralph worries he may lose the only friend he’s ever had.
Breaking Tradition
Typically I bring my oldest with me to screenings, as he is an avid movie lover just like his mother. This time in a break in tradition, I took my oldest daughter with me to watch Ralph breaks the Internet. Knowing she would love the film (as all my kids would) I was most interested in hearing her 8-year-old opinion. It’s easy to say, she loved the film, even if a few of the internet references made within the film went over her head. I cannot wait for my 11-year-old son to watch Ralph Breaks the Internet, I just know he will get a kick out of it.
Unlike a lot of sequels I’ve viewed, Ralph Breaks the Internet is a fantastic film on its own. When “Wreck-It Ralph” opened on Nov. 2, 2012, it turned in the highest opening weekend ever for a Walt Disney Animation Studios film at the time of release. I fully expect Ralph Breaks the Internet to do the exact same.
Ralph Breaks the Internet is in theaters nationwide now. GO see it, you’ll LOVE it.
