Precious Moments…For a Lifetime
I’ll never forget the summer vacations spent at my grandma’s house in up-state New York as a kid. The weather was always humid, the adventures were always fun, my grandma’s chocolate chip cookies were always yummy and her collection of Precious Moments figurines always watched over everything we did. Those were the days, the best kind of days that I spent with my grandma. Even now, some thousand years later I hold a special place in my heart for Precious Moments. Every time I see one, I immediately think of my grandma and how warm, humble and altruistic she was. Now, one of the world’s most recognized and inspirational brands known for their adorable figurines, is celebrating its 40th Anniversary this year. I was given the opportunity to receive a Precious Moments figurine for review, all opinions are my own. precious moments figurines
40 Years Of Precious
It has been 40 years of precious memories. From the very beginning, love was at the heart of all things Precious Moments. The idea of the adorable characters displaying acts of love was first used for a line of popular greeting cards by founder Samuel J. Butcher’s. His illustrations were transformed from paper to porcelain in 1978 with the creation of the Original 21 Precious Moments figurines. By the end of that year, this collection was released for sale, ushering in four decades of continual growth, expansion, and change. Precious Moments has a divine mission of sharing love, here is their company mission statement that has been in place since 1978:
Make the world a better place by sharing the gift of love. We achieve this mission by loving, caring and sharing.
Faithful and Feathered
When given almost free reign to choose a Precious Moments item, I was immediately drawn to the “Faithful and Feathered” Bird Feeder. I love the opportunity of showcasing my revered love for Precious Moments in my backyard and sharing the beloved brand with my family. This special bird feeder is seen from every window on the backside of our home as she pleasantly waters our neighborhood wild birds. I couldn’t be happier!
