Hold On To Your Seat…It’s Almost Mother’s Day!
It may seem like we just celebrated Christmas five minutes ago and Easter 10 seconds ago, however I hate to break it to you but Mother’s Day is breaking on the horizon. This is good news, I swear. Mother’s day is one of my favorite holidays of the year – because instead of washing the dishes like usual, I get to wash the dishes while wearing a macaroni necklace handmade by one of my dearest ones. And you know what? I love it. I love everything about the holiday, from the handmade cards to the handmade (and by handmade I mean kidmade) breakfast of scrambled eggs with a side of eggshell. Best yet, I like making a scrumptious dinner for my family topped with an even more divine cake to celebrate the day. However, not just any cake will do now that I’ve been introduced to Paris Baguette.
Paris Baguette is a Korean bakery and cafe that’s been serving up the delicate sweet cream for over 71 years. Trust me when I say they’re experts in seriously gorgeous food. I mean, just look at this:
Recently, I was invited to the Paris Baguette flagship store in Buena Park, California for a tasting. And hello? This Funny Mom don’t pass up no free food anytime. During the tasting we focused on the new bakery items that have been created for Mother’s Day. It was a beautiful morning surrounded by impeccably beautiful desserts.
How To Get Your PB
Paris Baguette Bakery or simply “PB”is a serve-yourself bakery that is setup as a showroom. I have never before experienced such a spacious, bright and beautifully designed bakery. The atmosphere was comfortable yet sophisticated and the prices were phenomenal. I cannot wait to go back for more.
Upon entering Paris Baguette, customers are to take a bamboo wooden tray and choose their bakery items from the cases and shelves. Cakes may be purchased or ordered and drinks can be poured. The choices seem endless and absolutely every item is beautiful. Almost too beautiful to eat. Almost.
Paris Baguette for Mother’s Day
During my tasting at PB in Buena Park two Mother’s Day cakes were featured. The Love Mom Berry Much Cake and the Happy Mother’s Day Cake (both retail for $36). I would dive into a vat of the Happy Mother’s Day Cake if I could and the Love Mom Berry Much Cake was so blueberry fluffy it could totally be served for breakfast. Any mom I know would be more than thrilled with either cake.
