Growing up, healthy
As parents, we all want what is best for our children and thankfully we know that leading by example is the best way to teach our children healthy habits. That’s why I am committed in leading the healthiest life as possible (give or take a french fry or two) so that my children will grow to understand and appreciate healthy habits. Did you know that despite all we know about sun protection, skin cancer continues to be a health epidemic in the United States? On average, more than 350 Americans are diagnosed with skin cancer every hour even though skin cancer is one of the most preventable cancers! What does that tell us? That’s telling us that we need to take our skin protection from the sun more seriously! Recently, I partnered up with Neutrogena, the #1 Dermatologist Recommended skincare brand in an effort to help spread the word about teaching our children skin protection importance.
Healthy Habits, Healthy Futures
We are an active family, I love to go and see and do all that Southern California has to offer. Melanoma rates in my state are on the rise and have increased 36% in the past 10 years. That is why, before each and every adventure – from playing in the backyard to spending a day tide pooling at the beach – I make sure that my children and I are covered from head to toe with Neutrogena sunscreen. Studies show that kids are more likely to adopt healthy habits, like applying sunscreen, if they see their moms applying it on themselves. Sparking this simple, healthy behavior change early on may help reduce the likelihood of developing skin cancer later in life.
Adventure Awaits, but first – Neutrogena!
As a mom of four young children I fully realize that my children look up to me and watch my every move (I haven’t visited the restroom alone in over 9 years!) and I want to set the right example by taking care of myself. I am committed to instilling safe sun behaviors in my children and that is why I make sure they always see me applying sunscreen to myself first.
I choose to use Neutrogena UltraSheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen on myself because it’s fast absorbing, water resistant and best of all it feels lightweight and clean. However, I have a special combination of Neutrogena sunscreens I like to apply to the children. Before each and every adventure I first apply sunscreen to myself of course and then I apply Neutrogena Pure & Free Baby Sunscreen to each of the children. I appreciate that it is 100% naturally sourced sunscreen ingredients that won’t run into eyes and sting! Then, after a few hours of fun into our adventure I like to use Neutrogena wet skin kids sunscreen spray! It’s easier to give the children a quick spritz of a second round of sunscreen than it is to have them sit and wait to be lotion applied!
I made a quick video of three of my children and I to demonstrate healthy skin habits! I hope you enjoy it!

I’ve been surfing online more than three hours
today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours.
It’s pretty worth enough for me. Personally, if all site owners
