Everyone’s favorite Knight, Mike the Knight will be making a special trip from his kingdom of Glendragon to visit his fans at the Renaissance Pleasure Faire on April 20, in time to celebrate the Renaissance Pleasure Faire’s 51st Anniversary season.
The first Renaissance Pleasure Faire began in 1963 in Agoura as a “living history” event for school children. Now located in Irwindale the pleasure faire takes over 20 acres for pure pleasure fun. Where fantasy rules and whimsical delights take flight, the Pleasure Faire allows attendees to fully immerse themselves in a village of more than 1,200 costumed performers and artisans, complete with 16th century games, fully armored joust, parades rides, arts, crafts, food, music and dance. The Pleasure Faire recreates the celebratory spring day in 1574 when the world arrived to entertain Queen Elizabeth in the English Seaport of Deptford.
Mike the Knight is a brand new animated preschool series that invites viewers into a fantastical world of castles, quests, dragons and trolls, and centers on Mike, a young knight-in-training, with a bright future ahead of him. Co-produced by HIT Entertainment and Nelvana, the series currently airs on Nick Jr., Monday-Saturday, from 7-8pm.
Fitting right into the theme of the Renaissance Pleasure Faire, Mike the Knight will be present for meet and greets, storytelling and giveaways throughout the day. Signage at the Faire will direct visitors to the specific area where meet and greets take place.

I love the Ren Faire. I even have historical-style clothes for it. Haven’t been since it moved to Irwindale, though. Hope I win.

What a cute idea Mike the Knight is. I never heard of it before now. In a couple years, my youngest son will likely be watching it. I am hopeful he ends up loving the faire as much as his mommy does! We go in costume, myself, my husband and our oldest son and always love it. I would love to win the family four pack. Good luck everyone!
