In honor and celebration of the knocking down of a 34-year tradition of male kings, the Funny family and I headed to Medieval Times in Buena Park for an evening of knightly fun and entertainment. Her Majesty, Doña Maria Isabella is a kind and firm Queen whom holds the respect of her kingdom in an entertaining two hour dinner theater show that is perfect for the entire family. We were invited as members of the media, all opinions are our own.
Long May She Reign!
The new show debuted at the Buena Park castle on March 16th. The matriarchal move came as a result of guest feedback on the roles that women played within the fantasy story-telling production. The new queen character is a firm, but kind, ruler who inherited the throne at the passing of her father, the previous king.
About Medieval Times
Attending a Medieval Times Buena Park dinner tournament is like stepping back in time…literally. Guests are greeted and treated in honor as you enjoy a real-live horse and fighting reenactment show while feasting on a delicious dinner. Our server for the evening was the best, truly. He made the Funny Kids laugh with his joke about eating dragon (that was really chicken).
Funny Mom Blog Tip: Arrive early and enjoy the before-the-show entertainment and look at the horses before you’re seated!
The Feast
My family and I couldn’t believe the amount of food we were brought to eat for dinner…it just kept coming! From a tomato soup appetizer all the way to a seriously delicious lemon cake for dessert – we left there stuffed!
