There are some bright new characters at Legoland California (you know, besides our kids when we visit). Legoland California has just debuted a brand new land called Lego Friends Heartlake City. Situated between Explorer Island and Fun Town, Heartlake City is based on the popular Lego toy line: Lego Friends, which focuses on the adventures and lives of five super awesome girls: Andrea, Emma, Mia, Olivia and Stephanie. We were invited to attend Legoland to check out Heartlake City for ourselves, all opinions are my own. There is lots to do and see inside Lego Friends Heartlake City and we are excited to tell you all about it!
Mia’s Riding Camp
Like much of the entire Legoland, California park there are several interactive elements in Lego Friends Heartlake City which makes it perfect for every family member to enjoy. Although Heartlake City is aimed more towards female visitors, there is also plenty for your boys to do! My 8 year old and 3 year old son loved (OK, OK they “liked” it, not “loved” it) Heartlake City too.

In the center of Lego Friends Heartlake City is a giant interactive fountain (that our papa built!) that will be perfect when the weather is warm. It’s the perfect size for tots (OK and us parents too) to run though and cool off.

Lego Friends Heartlake City is packed with fun and excitement around every corner, I appreciated that Heartlake City was big and spacious enough that we didn’t feel cramped. When you go to visit you can enjoy living like a Lego Friend for a day while exploring Mia’s Riding Camp, a 62 horse and jeep carousel ready to take guests on an adventure, the Heartlake Fountain where children and their friends can splash about, and the Heartlake Stables ready for Lego building activities. Guests can even sing along with the Lego Friends on the Friends Forever Stage and grab a sweet treat crêpes at the City Park Crêperie.

Our super fun day at Legoland couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. We were so happy to celebrate Mr. Handsome’s 3rd birthday at Legoland! He loved it too. Surprisingly my kids were all pretty well-behaved and we lasted until about 4pm with no naps and no meltdowns! It was just a perfect way to spend my little buddies 3rd birthday. There is so much to do and see at Legoland, I really genuinely appreciate the thoughtful design of the rides and attractions that were created to accommodate every aged family member. Even if your child is too little to ride a particular ride, just take a little look around and you’ll find an interactive Lego building station or playground for them to use while your bigger kids go on the ride! Of course we went on plenty of all ages rides like the Coast Cruise (below) too.
We couldn’t have chosen a better theme park to celebrate this little guy’s life. He is such a big helper who loves to build and play and be outdoors. Thank you Legoland for the special invitation to enjoy Lego Friends Heartlake City!
