Let’s Cool Off!
It has been a scorching summer in Southern California so far and we’re only half way through the season. When heading to the beach is too much of a sandy drag, consider heading to nearby Knott’s Soak City Waterpark to cool off instead. This 15 acre park is a complete family-fun waterpark that is designed to have attractions for every member of the family. The park has a massive total of 23 speed, tube and body slides plus the 750,000-gallon Tidal Wave Bay wave pool, the one-third-mile Sunset River; and the three-story Beach House, featuring 200 water guns, nozzles, sprayers and other interactive surprises. The water park also features Gremmie Lagoon, a hands-on water playground for younger kids and families. We were invited to check it out for ourselves for review purposes, all opinions are our own.
Knott’s Soak City is open seasonally on select days from the middle of May to early September. We opted to go on a sultry 90 degree summer day in the middle of July and it could not have been more perfect. Our family loves waterparks and having never been to Knott’s Soak City before, this one was one of the biggest we’ve ever seen. My kids and I loved the Sunset River to enjoy as a family the most. However, the Gremmie Lagoon was a close second favorite.

Hours of family fun!
Don’t Rush! Just have FUN!
Since we had never visited Knott’s Soak City Waterpark before, I scoured the internet and local mom blogs for tips and tricks on how to best enjoy our day. I read several articles that suggested arriving to the park early to grab lounge chairs. However, since my older kids were in summer camp we were unable to get to the park until after 2pm (it closed at 7pm on the day of our visit). I was happily surprised to see that we had very little trouble finding a chair and chairs opened up quite often. We set our towels and extra sunscreen down on our chair and headed off for an afternoon full of Soak City fun.
Knott’s Soak City Waterpark will be open every day until September 9th. Get your tickets today!
