Pink & Lovable
The gamer’s favorite pink and lovable character known as Kirby first bounced onto the video game scene in 1992 in Kirby’s Dream Land for the Game Boy (did you have a Game Boy as a kid? I did!!) As one of Nintendo’s most famous and familiar icons, Kirby’s round appearance and ability to copy his enemies powers has made him a well known character in video games and he is consistently ranked as one of the most iconic video game characters across the board. But we’re not surprised! Kirby is as fierce a competitor as he is lovable! Now Kirby has bounced back onto the gaming scene in Kirby Planet Robobot, the 14th main installment in Nintendo’s Kirby franchise. This is a sponsored post, all opinions are my own.
My oldest son who is 9, hasn’t stopped talking about Kirby Planet Robobot since we had the opportunity to play it at the Planet Robobot event at Smashbox Studios in Los Angeles. Unbeknownst to him, he’ll be receiving the game for his birthday. I cannot wait to surprise him with it!
The Robots Have Invaded…And Only Kirby Can Stop Them!
Designed for kids 7+, Kirby Planet Robobot invites gamers to take back the planet in an all new Sci-Fi action adventure featuring Kirby. In the game we have the chance to smash through tough obstacles, lift heavy objects with ease and scan enemies o shape-shift into new Modes with powerful abilities in the supercharged platform of Nintendo 3DS. My son loves the ability to shape shift into powerful Modes like a jet, flamethrower arms and buzz-saw hands but he loves changing into a car! Kirby Planet Robobot follows a similar style of game play to the previous Nintendo 3DS title, Kirby: Triple Deluxe, taking advantage of the system’s 3D capabilities to allow Kirby to move between multiple planes in stages. It’s really cool when Kirby is able to inhale enemies in order to absorb their powers, including three new Copy Abilities; Doctor, Poison, and ESP.

There are over 25 new and classic abilities! Some new to the series like the Doctor, which lets Kirby throw pills and mix concoctions, and ESP, giving Kirby Psychic powers to use against enemies.
New Game Modes!
You can play with local friends and battle enemies in full 3D! Use the Wireless or Download Play feature in Team Kirby Clash, an RPG-styled mini game to play with up to 4 players!
Works with ALL amiibo!
Play with any compatible amiibo figure in Story Mode and Kirby will inhale the figure to gain a random Copy Ability or character-specific Copy Ability.
Kirby Planet Robobot features two additional mini games for extra game play: Team Kirby Clash and Kirby 3D Rumble. Team Kirby Clash in an action RPG in which up to four players choose a character class and work together to fight large bosses, earning experience along the way. Kirby 3D Rumble is a single-player game in which Kirby must travel along a 3D plane to inhale and shoot waves of enemies as quickly as possible. As you can see, there is so much to play you’ll never tire of the game. We love it and we know you will too!
