Kid Friendly All the Time
It was just a few weeks ago that I was asked what my favorite “kid friendly” restaurant was. On a near fit of hysterics I declared that I am never without my children, therefore everywhere I go is “kid friendly”. Dining out with kids can be stressful for even the most laid-back and experienced of parents – and believe me when I say that dining out with four young children is a chore. Finding a restaurant that has a relaxed atmosphere, tasty eats and thirst quenching drinks can be a task in itself but finding one that makes food my kids will actually eat is darn near impossible. Thankfully, Islands Restaurants can make family dining easy. Not only is Islands our #1 family restaurant choice when we do feel brave enough to go out to eat as a family, my husband and I have been going to Islands restaurant regularly since we started dating. This is a sponsored post, all opinions are my own.
A Good Time, Every Time
I rely and trust that every time we dine at Islands (which is often) that we will have a great time. The relaxed atmosphere, killer hamburgers, tasty drinks and friendly staff creates an opportune situation for a great family meal. And besides, Islands has my all-time-favorite salad of all time too, the Kaanapali Kobb!
Now, Islands Restaurant is offering healthier kids menu options!
Islands’ Gremmie Menu offers little surfers healthier options including fresh pineapple with yogurt dip, veggie dippers with ranch dip, steamed broccoli and carrots, garden and Caesar salads, and the Jr. Grilled Chicken Sandwich. On the night of our visit, we tried the healthier side options like the fresh pineapple kabob with sweet cinamon yogurt dip, the apples and yogurt dip and the garden salad. My kids ordered their favs for the main entree of the hot dogger and chicken strips.
Tasty Eats
The Islands Menu and tasty eats for the kids is plenty of distraction to keep them occupied. There are plenty of TVs with action sports to keep even the most rambunctious kids distracted.
Tasty Drinks
Although my favorite items on the Islands Restaurant menu are the cheddar fries and Kaanapali Kobb salad, there’s also a variety of tropical cocktails like the Strawberry Daiquiri or Mangorita to choose from for parents who want a little break from the stress (if only for a few minutes). I opted for the hand-shaken strawberry daiquiri and it was divine, my husband got a Hangar 22 beer on tap! With the kids occupied with good eats, my husband and I were able to enjoy ourselves as well.
Crayons For A Cause!
Every kid loves to color the Islands menu, but haven’t you always wondered what happens to the crayons (if you don’t snake them in your bag) after you leave? I know I have. Islands partners with Crayon Collection to donate used crayons from all 55 of their locations to lower income schools. Since partnering with the program in 2011, Islands has donated more than one million crayons annually to local elementary schools throughout the southwest U.S! That is so cool!
I know that despite having a crazy, loud, messy family that our dining experience at Islands will be amazing and that’s why we choose to go there so often. Is Islands Restaurant “kid friendly” — Absolutely!

It’s our favorite too! Did you see my margarita photo? We may have been there at the same time!
