The Patch is Still Patchin’!

I have good news to share about the Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch 2020 — the patch will indeed take place! What a relief! Due to COVID-19, this year’s Pumpkin Patch will be much different than in years past. The folks at the Irvine Park Railroad will be taking extra precautions to ensure the health and safety of all guests. Read about them below.

Size Modifications

The 2020 Pumpkin Patch will be greatly modified and scaled down to ensure the safety of the guests and staff. The number of visitors at the event will be limited, but have no fear – you’ll still make it inside. Once the Pumpkin Patch reaches capacity, as one family exists, another family will be allowed to enter. They do strongly recommend visiting during the week or early morning weekend hours to avoid any lines.

How To Pick A Pumpkin

To purchase a pumpkin, you will have several options shown to you by a staff member from behind a counter that you can choose from. You will not be able to walk around and pick out a pumpkin like in previous years. Which is super sad I know, but I am just so grateful for the opportunity to still attend the patch this year even if it will be a little different.

Rides + Games

The Irvine Park Railroad Train and Hay Wagon Ride will still be in operation. There will also be a few game booths for the kiddos to play. Rest assured that they will be sanitized after every use. And don’t forget about the photo opportunities around the patch!! Those are always the best.

Keeping The Fall Traditions Alive

I am so grateful that the folks at the Irvine Park Railroad are striving to still provide a wholesome family friendly Halloween event for guests. I am thankful that the kids will be able to take their annual pumpkin patch picture! They will be so happy:)

  • Wear face coverings at all times.
  • Use the hand sanitizer provided at stations around the train station and Wheel Fun Rentals at Irvine Park rental counter.
  • Be respectful and courteous to other visitors.
