Play in the SNOW!
There is nothing better than spending a few hours in the snow – especially for those of us that live in sunny Southern California. A trip to the snow is quite an undertaking when you have little kids in tow. But did you know that the best amusement park in San Diego has an entire snow play area designed especially for little kids? Legoland California is bringing in the holidays with cheer with tons of snow! Legoland’s annual winter celebration, Holiday Snow Days and Winter Nights began November 21, 2015 and will run everyday through Janurary 3, 2016. There will be festive treats, holiday entertainment, cheerful décor, family fun activities and nightly fireworks from December 26 through December 31, 2015 too. We were invited to attend the Holiday Snow Days at Legoland California as members of the Legoland Ambassadors, all opinions are our own.
A Fun Town made even MORE fun with snow!
Legoland’s Fun Town transforms into a winter wonderland with two snow play areas for families to throw snowballs at LEGO themed targets, build snowmen using LEGO accessories and join in the Holiday Village Build at the LEGO Clubhouse. Plus, guests can enjoy a holiday show from the LEGO Friends, Jingle Jammers and the Holiday Character Dance Party featuring the Legoland elves, Jingle Joe and Tinsel Toe.
The fish are getting in on the holiday action too!
SEA LIFE Aquarium is getting in on the fun with a holiday-themed Daily Dive Show, crafting events and “green” holiday tips. And that’s not all! If you plan on staying at the Legoland Hotel they’re also decking the halls with Holiday décor and themed LEGO building contests!
Did we love it? HECK yea we did!
This was my 20 month old daughters first time experiencing snow and she totally loved it. She is all about stepping on things right now and she loved the snow crunch under her shoes. I was happily surprised to see that she loved the holiday snow days experience so much. And of course my 8 year old son loved throwing snowballs at the LEGO targets, he is a good shot! He also enjoyed sledding too. My 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son loved decorating the snowmen with LEGO accessories – they made a snowman of faces and thought that was totally hilarious!
An evergreen of LEGO!
Towering over the theme park’s Fun Town winter wonderland, the LEGO Christmas tree stands 30-foot tall, is created out of more than 245,000 green DUPLO bricks, features more than 400 LEGO ornaments and sparkles with more than 11,000 LED lights. It was a sight to behold! We weren’t able to stay until nightfall but I have heard that the giant LEGO Christmas tree is gorgeous all lit up at night!
