This past weekend Funny Mom Blog contributor Judith and her youngest daughter visited the Aquarium of the Pacific to see all of the holiday festivities. Read about her amazing day!

This weekend we had the opportunity to pay a visit to the Aquarium of the Pacific, all opinions are my own. Isabella my youngest, was probably 3 years old last time we went and honestly I don’t know why I have waited so long to bring her back. It was a special day also because she got to bring a very special friend with her since both of her sisters were not able to come along.
The Aquarium of the Pacific was hosting their “Holiday Treats for the Animals” event and let me tell you – it sure put us in the holiday mood. We started out with a visit doing the available crafts. The girls made an ornament with animals they could see in the aquarium and I know that will be a treasure we will keep forever. Upstairs the was a Sea Otters Holiday Feeding Show, the girls got to see how the Sea Otters got their special treats in the shapes of candy canes, which was really cool. They also had the opportunity to feel Sea Otter skin which was a great learning experience since Sea Otter’s are an endanger species. We also were able to see and touch the starfish and amenities and that was awesome not only for them for also for the adults too!
When it came to touch and feel the Sting Rays for sure gave us the most fun, it was almost feeding time so they were super friendly and coming to the surface over and over which aloud us to touch then several times and the girls were also able to feed them for $5 per cup of food. I know that is something that they will remember for a long time. After that we went to watch the Seals and Sea Lions Show, they are such fun animals as well and the girls loved learning about them as well as see all the training that they do and why their training is important for the animals.
We also had the opportunity to touch the sharks as well as to see the penguin show, the Animal Care Center has a play named “Bert’s check up” which explains to the kids why it’s important that the animals at the Aquarium also get check ups.
From the moment we arrived to the Aquarium of the Pacific to the moment we left, the girls had a blast enjoying all of the shows, the touch and feel exhibits, the crafts as well as the musical entertainments through out the day. And to top off our already fantastic day the Aquarium, the Aquarium made an announcement that they had another special treat for us, Meghan Trainor the singer performed live – two of her greatest hits. The kids and the adults alike were super psyched about the special treats the Aquarium of the Pacific had in store for us. So if you have not been there in while like us take a trip down there and be ready to enjoy a day full of amazing experiences!
