If I had to choose one activity that I love the most – it is reading to my children. I love to turn into the characters of the books and create voices in different accents and they love it and just perhaps I may love it even more. That is why anytime I have the opportunity to review children’s books on this site I jump at the opportunity. The first book of the hedgehug series is a book about overcoming physical obstacles to show love. We received a review copy, all opinions are our own.
Horace and Hattie are hedgehogs and best friends but much to their chagrin they’re unable to show their love to one another by hugging. To overcome their obvious spiky contradiction they try many different ways to achieve a warm embrace. Written by husband and wife team Steve Wilson and Lucy Tapper, Hedgehugs brings a new sensibility to learning about the seasons, overcoming obstacles, perseverance and love in a sweet and very spiky way.
The full hardback 12 page picture book was designed for young readers in grades Pre-K to 2nd grade. Will this pair of prickly hedgehogs find a hug that feels just right? Log on to learn more about the Hedgehug series now!
