Saturday 11/17. My children are weird. I think we’ve established this. She’s under the baby co-sleeper. It was quiet, I got worried and this is how I found her.
Sunday 11/18: The baby turned 6 months old!
Monday 11/19: Success to sanity is days away at the Spa. Eva Smith and I know how to do it. I have lots of pictures of her covered in mud too, but if I shared them she would disown me. I’m not kidding.
Tuesday 11/20: Our Anniversary getaway to the Temecula Wine Country. Obviously I’m a little (and by a little I mean A LOT) tipsy. This was my last glass of tasting wine after two tastings; so this is my 12th glass of wine. It’s a sweet wine from South Coast Winery called “Daybreak” and it’s made of 19% alcohol. I was told we went to dinner a few hours later and that the food was good. I wish I could tell you I remember any of the rest of that evening. Even taking this picture is spotty in my memory…
Wednesday 11/21: I woke up to the most gorgeous scenery. If you haven’t stayed in a wine vineyard you must. It was breathtaking. This is a picture of my morning cup of coffee.
After my morning coffee and another wine tasting, this time at Europa Winery we ate lunch in Old Towne Temecula and then walked to the Old Towne Sweet Shop to get a treat for the kids. Then I happened upon this. Which instantly made me think of my friend Adrienne.
Thursday 11/21: Thanksgiving at my husband’s parents house. We sat outside, right after this picture was taken my daughter fell off the metal chair onto the hard concrete and smacked her forehead. Hard.
Friday 11/22: We headed out to ZOOMARS. My kids love the corn box. Me? Not so much.
Saturday 11/24: Dinner prep is better with free wine
Sunday 11/25: First time in the sink for a bath. Tubby is so cute.
Monday 11/26: In an attempt to be less fat we walked the track.
When we got home from walking the track to get less fat, I caught a neighbor from down the street red handed as he was shoving his palm frawns in our already overfilled trash can. I was literally speechless and stopped the car in the middle of the street. After I got the kids out of the car he came up and asked if it was ok. Smart thinking on his part since I was about to go all Kate Gosselin on him.
Tuesday 11/27: Is it just me or do Butternut Squash appear a little phallic? Making baby food.
Wednesday 11/28: I organize a playgroup that has a themed potluck once a month. I’ve been a crummy organizer and stopped going for awhile but I finally made it back this week and I remembered just why I love my friends. They make good food. This is a turkey potpie.
My friend gave me some potpies to take home. As I was working I ate. And ate. And ate some more of them. It helps to eat a lot when you’re trying to be less fat I think. Then the pooch wanted some too:
Thursday 11/30: My and the babes at his 6 month checkup 🙂

How cute. Loved the Temecula stuff (South Coast GVR? what’s that? Grenache, viognier and ????). But then, I love wine tasting. BTW, it’s okay to take a little sip, then spit it out and pour the rest of your glass into a dump bucket – which should be on the wine tasting bar. No one will think you hate the wine. You just won’t get as tipsy and then you can remember dinner.

GVR is Grenache blanc, Viognier and Roussanne. It was pretty good, not my favorite but I’d never pass up a free bottle! haha
I did dump the majority of the Daybreak, it was too much. Everything else I drank though. I wasn’t expecting to get so tipsy and we spaced it all out over several hours. Oh well! It was still fun 🙂

Please tell me I will find that air freshener in my stocking!?!

Wow, what a busy week you had, but kind of jelly of both the spa day and the weekend in Temecula 😉
