Making cutesy foods like these are what I live for. Ok, Ok, I live for my kids and for diet coke and for Flipping Out on Bravo and I also happen to live for cutesy foods like these. I signed up to bring appetizers to my husband’s mom’s house for Easter dinner and I wanted to do something easy but not boring. I looked up a few ideas on Pinterest and came across something similar and decided to make my own – much easier version. This Easter bunny appetizer is literally the easiest thing in the world to make!
Easter Bunny Appetizer
Ingredients:
One Bread Bowl
The Tips of a French Baguette or Melba Toast for the Ears
A Bag of Baby Carrots
2 Cucumbers
A Bag of Potato Chips
32 Ounces of Sour Cream
2 Packs of Ranch dressing Mix
Olives
Materials Needed:
A Large Platter
A Knife
A Smallish Plastic Bowl
Directions:
Using the smallish plastic bowl as a guide, cut the bread bowl open. Set the top of the bread bowl aside (it will be used as the bunny’s head). Scoop out as much of the bread with a spoon as you can. Place the smallish plastic bowl inside the scooped out bread bowl. Make ranch dip with the sour cream and ranch dressing mix packets. Put the ranch dip into the smallish bowl. Cut the cucumbers into slices. Cut out eyes from the olives and whiskers and smile from a cucumber slice. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Place the larger bread bowl that contains the smallish bowl full of dressing into the bottom portion of your platter, place the top of the bread bowl just above the bottom. Place the “face” of the bunny onto the top of the bread bowl (as shown in the picture above). Arrange the vegetables and chips around the bunny. Place the melba toast or the tips of a french baguette on top above the head for the bunny’s ears. Eat and enjoy!
So easy right? Happy Easter!
