“What’s going to compel people to see this movie? Moi. If people don’t go to the theater on their own, I’m going to personally come to their doorstep and drag them there” – Miss Piggy , star “Muppets Most Wanted”
In a hilarious sequel to The Muppets (2011), The Muppets Most Wanted sets the entire Muppet gang to embark on a world tour complete with their classic musical and performing talents as a celebration for being reunited since The Muppets (2011) only to unwittingly find themselves involved with a grand international caper. The Muppets Most Wanted will be in theaters nationwide on March 21st 2014.
Disney’s The Muppets Most Wanted Press Junket
On March 9th, 2014 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills California I attended the Press Junket for Disney’s The Muppets Most Wanted. Stars in attendance included Tina Fey, Ricky Gervais (my favorite!!) and Ty Burrell as well as the infamous Muppets Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Constantine and Sam Eagle. Producer: Todd Lieberman, Director/Writer: James Bobin, Music: Bret McKenzie are pictured below.
The Muppets Most Wanted Press Junket was held in a gorgeous setting (The Beverly Hilton Hotel) but a totally relaxed vibe setting. Producer Todd Lieberman, Director and Writer James Bobin and Musical genius Bret McKenzie (their table is pictured above) were open, honest and relaxed while answering the room full of journalists questions.
Music Making At A Vacant Shop Near You…
Bret McKenzie rented out a vacant store space on Hollywood Boulevard to get away from it all and have space to write the music for The Muppets Most Wanted. Located in a normal strip mall with passer-biers would often stop by and ask what was happening. Can you just imagine? Located next to a dry cleaners and noodle restaurant the soon-to-be-sung-worldwide songs of The Muppets Most Wanted was being written by Bret McKenzie!
Laughing So Much We Turned Green…
The table with Tina Fey, Kermit the Frog, Ricky Gervais, Constantine, Ty Burrell, Sam Eagle and Miss Piggy was by far the most fun and laid back table interview I’ve ever experienced. Ricky Gervais and Constantine were like two peas in a pod with making the room full of journalists laugh. Tina Fey was a bit timid it seemed and coincidentally she was in bad lighting that cast a shadow over her.
It’s All About The Teeth…
This is where I am going to admit I have a weird fascination with Ricky Gervais in general but most specifically I have a weird facination with his teeth. I mean, he can tell the most crudest of jokes but you can’t hate him and those adorable chompers. Since I was sitting in the front row of the Press Junket (thanks to Shelby Barone of OC Mom Blog for saving me a seat), I had a clear view of his chompers, his dimples and that adorable gleam in his eye. Oh and Kermit the Frog was pretty overwhelming too.
I loved the camaraderie the cast shared, it must have been a fun set to have worked on.
The Muppets Most Wanted Is A Film For Everyone…
The Muppets Most Wanted is a must see for audiences of all ages. Your kids will love the quirky, silliness of the Muppets and the music and you will love the nostalgia of your favorite Muppet characters, the caper style storyline and film throwbacks. The Muppets Most Wanted opens in theaters nationwide on March 21st 2014.
So, it’s not the best picture of me in the world but lets keep in mind that I’m about to pop out a baby next week and I was dead tired. But really, I GOT A PICTURE WITH MISS PIGGY AND KERMIT THE FROG!!!!! How cool is that?
