The Reveal
What could be sweeter than a princess tea party? When we received our Disney Side party kit in the mail my 4 year old daughter claimed that everything in it was hers and she was NOT going to share with her little brother. Then she persisted every day asking when “her” party was going to be. She simply could not wait and to be honest, neither could I!
The Decor
Thanks to the Disney Side team, they sent us an amazing box full of everything we needed to decorate our Disney Side Princess Tea Party. We had a Princess Sophia theme (whom we all adore) and all of the decor can be found at Walmart for super great prices. I loved the easy setup of the table decorations and the cupcake stand.
The Guests
We decided to invite over our very best friends for a Disney Side Princess Tea Party. We had a total of 6 girls and 2 boys at our party – a perfect amount of kids to fit around our table for a delicate, fun tea party! Thankfully my 8 year old and 2 year old sons did not mind having tea with the girls, they actually thought it was quite fun! I got bright pink and purple feather boa’s for the girls to wear and sparkly bead necklaces for the boys. My good friend brought over her tea cups and our party was perfectly decorated with Princess Sophia party goods! It was so awesome!
The Food
Disney Side Princess Tea Parties are about the tea, but the food and desserts certainly come in as a close second! For our party, we let the kids make their own pizzas! They all loved it and they each had so much fun. I simply picked up a few pre made personal pizzas which made it a whole lot easier than trying to make the dough myself. Then I shredded lots of cheese, set out some pepperoni’s, pizza sauce and olives and let the kids have at it. It was great!
For the moms I made one of my most favorite dishes – a slow cooker chicken teriyaki that is savory and super delicious. I also created a tasty green salad with dried cranberries, candied walnuts, tomatoes, croutons and a sweet raspberry vinaigrette. It was simple, super delicious and just perfect for our party.
The Dessert
What is more fun than dessert at a Princess Tea Party? For our party we created super easy, super fun Mickey Mouse Cupcakes. They are plain white cake cupcakes with red frosting, yellow tic tac candies as the pants buttons and mini Oreo’s as the ears! So cute right?
To make this cupcake yourself: bake plain white cupcakes, slather on pre made red frosting, shove two mini oreo’s in the cupcake towards the top and place two yellow Tic Tacs below. And that’s it! So simple and SO cute!
The Tea
Of course at any Disney Side Princess Tea Party, the tea is the star of the show. For our tea party we used sweet and fruity Twinnings tea served in white tea cups that my friend was kind enough to bring to our party. We reminded the kids to “keep their pinkies up” at all times. They loved sipping on the tea and munching on the tea biscuits and other sweets that were on the table…and of course wearing their big feather boas!
We had such a great time at our Disney Side High Princess Tea party and we feel so honored to have been chosen to host it! We hope that we’ve inspired you to now host your own Disney Side Princess Tea Party too!
