Being a parent on the journey of raising children that turn into good people as adults is hard work. Not only do we have to teach our children things like keeping their fingers out of their noses and how to ride a bike, we are also responsible for teaching them characteristic traits like confidence in the face of adversity, a strong work ethic to become a good citizen and compassion to care for others. This is no small feat – everything we are responsible for teaching our children can be overwhelming. I love and appreciate it when children’s movies help parents teach valuable lessons. Being released July 18, Walt Disney Pictures will be releasing a 3D sequel to the 2012 animated film “Planes” with the heroically focused “Planes: Fire And Rescue”. Disney’s Planes Fire & Rescue is an animated feature film about courage and confidence to do the right thing.
My youngest son and my third child often gets lost in the shuffle of our crazy, big family life. More often than not he gets left behind and forgotten by his older siblings. He is just simply too small and too slow for their big antic playing. In order to inspire confidence within him I wanted to give him a toy of a character with big morals, big courage and big confidence. Blade Ranger from Disney’s Planes Fire & Rescue is the leader of the Piston Peak Air Attack team, a veteran fire and rescue helicopter, Blade is the best at what he does and expects no less of his team. So I headed to my favorite local Walmart and I picked up a #PlanestotheRescue Blade Ranger Deluxe Talking Vehicle with spinning propellers and movie phrases and sounds.
I wanted to present him with a Disney Planes Fire and Rescue toy to inspire his confidence. The confidence building Blade Ranger in a fun and unique way and so I set the toy in the middle of our living room and asked my son to come see his gift. He came a runnin! I was able to get a few snaps of the surprise.
I couldn’t even believe the happiness on his face, I am so glad I captured his first few moments with his new Disney Planes Fire & Rescue Blade Ranger. He pressed the talking button and pretended to fly him. I know that this toy will help inspire confidence in him. Being a typical 2 year old, my son doesn’t share his toys well but this Blade Ranger is so cool that his older brother and sister want to play with him with it. So he has started to slowly but surely learn how to share – inspiring his confidence to play with his older siblings and not be left out of their crazy playful antics because he is being included now thanks to his new toy.
My son loved playing with his Blade Ranger so much, he actually did so for the entire day even bringing him along to meals and nap time!
Walmart carries a large line of exclusive Disney Planes Fire & Rescue toys and children’s products such as tee shirts, sports wear, bedding, bikes, toys and so much more. I suggest you head to your local Walmart now before the film hits the theaters and the Planes Fire & Rescue merchandise is hard to find!
