There has always been a powerhouse duo from the beginning of Disneyland history; starting with Walt Disney and his iconic character Mickey Mouse. They were bound together as they ventured hand in hand to create the Walt Disney Empire. Now, there is a new powerhouse duo taking over the virtual empire: Mickey Mouse and Walt Disney’s first beloved character Oswald. In Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two Mickey Mouse with paintbrush in hand and Oswald with remote in hand join forces to save Wasteland in an epic partnership of Disney proportions.

Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two is a gamer’s dream where your creativity dictates the story, if something isn’t working-do something else! “As you explore Wasteland, Mickey and Oswald must discover who is really behind the quakes threatening to destroy the land and put a stop to it. Along the journey, you will be able to help different characters with various side quests. Your choices on these quests can alter future events and the game’s ending, as well as give different rewards. Choose wisely, however, because choices have consequences!” – Reviewer’s Guide
Oswald is one interesting fellow, with the ability of a detached limb as a “Boomarmerang” and earlift flight (he can use his ears like a helicopter which proves to be very useful in several situations) to his bowlegged gait he may be my favorite character in the game. He carries a remote through wasteland which can do all sorts of things such as turn on machinery and unlock doors. Oswald proves to be a useful companion to Mickey as they venture through Wasteland, defeat enemies, solve puzzles, find hidden Mickey’s, pick up collectibles earn rewards and so much more.
The game is challenging at times for a novice gamer like me, however with the help of my 5 year old who is an expert jumper and I a master puzzler, we have managed to figure out the game together and create our very own Power of Two.
