Hi Artists! Let’s Go!
An all new preschool show has blasted on to Amazon Prime Instant Video called Creative Galaxy, where viewers can follow along with the artistic adventures of Arty and his creative friends. Arty is a little green martian boy who loves to make and create arts and crafts. Along with his side kick Epiphany, Arty solves problems with art all while inspiring creative thinking through crafts, music and dance. Arty and Epiphany travel the Creative Galaxy upon Creative Spark Spaceship as they solve problems with art.
Creative Galaxy is produced by Out of the Blue Enterprises with Angela Santomero (of Blue’s Clues and Super Why!) serving as Creator and Executive Producer (funny fact: Angela and I are friends on Facebook and if she reads this post I may blush). The Creative Galaxy series is designed to support a child’s natural inclination to use their imaginations to make and to create. Life is full of art and Creative Galaxy helps kids notice that!
Make Any Time For Fun!
I watched Creative Galaxy with each of my children to see their reactions. Although each of them (the 7-year-old, 4-year-old and 2-year-old) loved it, my 2-year-old son loved it the most. He watched almost an entire episode, which considering he has no interest in television at all is definitely saying something. I appreciate Creative Galaxy’s interactive story format and slower paced tone so that my 2-year-old could easily follow along. Television these days is so fast paced and overstimulating, Creative Galaxy is a breath of fresh (mild) air. It is interesting and engaging without being overwhelming.
A cool feature of Creative Galaxy is at the end of each episode, to give kids and parents the real-life tools they need to re-create Arty’s experience, a live action segment with real kids will take viewers through the craft project that Arty showcased in the galaxy. My kids are already demanding to make all of the cool craft projects (like bath soap).
Go Be Amazing!
Creative Galaxy on Amazon Prime Instant Video is available for iPad, making it a super useful tool for on-the-go. Boring doctors appointments, super-duper long car rides, oil change, waiting in line at school pickups and so many other otherwise preschool torturous times can be made fun with Creative Galaxy. So go be amazing because idea’s are everywhere in the Creative Galaxy!
