Hands down my favorite breakfast food is French Toast. Just the other morning, I had the brilliant idea to combine one of my favorite boxed cereals: Cinnamon Toast Crunch with my favorite breakfast food: French Toast. What resulted was downright fabulous. Crunchy and crisp on the outside and soft and yummy on the inside, this recipe for Cinnamon Toast Crunch encrusted French Toast is my new favorite.
Ingredients:
Thick Sourdough Bread
3 Eggs
1/8 cup of Whole Milk
2 cups of Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal
Butter
Directions:
Whisk eggs and milk in large, shallow bowl
Crunch and crumble cereal into pieces inside large freezer bag and put into large, shallow bowl
Dunk bread into egg mix on both sides, be sure to cover bread completely with egg mixture
Dunk bread into cereal crumble, covering both sides of the bread with an even semi-light coat of cereal
Heat large spoonful of butter on frying pan
Place cereal encrusted bread in frying pan
Fry on both sides for 3 – 4 minutes until golden brown
Use more butter as needed
