You’ll see a lot more finger licking good grilling recipes here on The Funny Mom Blog during the summertime and that’s because it’s hecca hot around here from June – September and the idea of warming the house up anymore with the oven is downright terrifying. Therefore, I am constantly on the lookout for new and innovative finger lickin’ good grilling recipes that’ll have my family begging for more.
We’re a meat loving family and my boys are always up for a good, juicy rack of ribs any day of the week. In an attempt to change things up a bit, I set out to make a blueberry BBQ sauce with the fresh blueberries we recently picked at a local blueberry farm. I researched a few blueberry BBQ sauce recipes online and then came up with something I knew my kids and I would love. And there’s nothing better than a sweet, juicy Farmland pork spare rib. I recently picked up a huge rack of Farmland pork spare ribs for just $10 at Walmart. Feeding my large family of 6 is easy with crazy good Walmart prices and that means I can indulge my boys appetite with ribs easily!

1/3 cup cider vinegar
1 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 tablespoon molasses
1/8 teaspoon ground allspice

In large heavy saucepan, heat oil and cook onions until tender and translucent.
Add garlic and jalapeno. Cook until soft.

This blueberry BBQ sauce is amazingly savory and sweet tasting and the perfect sauce to combine with Farmland pork spare ribs. The juicy pork ribs are a perfect texture combination too.
How To Grill Perfect Farmland Pork Spare Ribs
The key to grilling the perfect Farmland pork spare rib is quite easy really. Start with a warm barbecue grill and keep your flame on medium high. Season your Farmland pork spare ribs thoroughly with fresh cracked black pepper. Do not apply your blueberry BBQ sauce on your Farmland pork spare ribs until the meat is almost thoroughly cooked. If you apply your BBQ sauce on your ribs prior to placing on your hot grill, the sugars in the BBQ sauce will burn. Once your Farmland pork spare ribs are just about cooked thoroughly, slather that nice piece of meat with tons of your homemade blueberry BBQ sauce. Make sure to keep extra sauce for dipping too.
