It’s all about the ROAR
The roar of the engines, the thudding of stomping feet, the smell of cheesy nachos and the cheers from the thousands of monster truck fans must only mean one thing…Monster Jam must be in town!!
As you may well know, I’m a huge fan of fun. And when my family and I were invited by Feld Entertainment to attend one of the most family friendly thrilling live shows at the Angels Stadium in Anaheim last weekend – we of course accepted the invitation (we’re no dummies!), all opinions are our own.
Born out of a love with all things bigger, faster and louder, Monster Jam is the most accessible family-friendly sport in the world today. Attending a Monster Jam show is like nothing else, it’s loud and it’s fun and you and your family will totally love it. If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend attending the Pit Party where you and your family will have the chance to get up close and personal to the monster trucks and their drivers. It’s a really awesome time!
Tricks For Days
Unexpected, unscripted and unforgettable, Monster Jam takes center stage in the world’s most iconic venues, sporting meticulously manicured dirt tracks created with the sole purpose of pushing these perfectly engineered, ever-evolving trucks to the limit. The Monster Jam monster truck tricks are always my favorite. These world-class drivers, some generational rivals, are athletes at the core and experts in four-wheeled, controlled aggression. And just when you think we’re done racing, jumping and doing things with trucks you’ve never seen before, they’ll even do some more.
Who is your favorite?
The monster truck lineup we were fortunate to see on January 13th: Grave Digger® (Adam Anderson), Max-D™ (Neil Elliott), Whiplash™ (Brianna Mahon), El Toro Loco® (Bryan Wright), Megalodon® (Alex Blackwell), Great Clips Mohawk Warrior® (Bryce Kenny), Mutant™ (Todd LeDuc), Monster Mutt® Rottweiler (Brad Allen), Avenger (Jim Koehler), Xtermigator (J.R. McNeal), Ice Cream Man (Roy Pridgeon), Jester (Matt Pagliarulo), Big Kahuna (Shane England), Stone Crusher (Steve Sims). I’d have to say that the Ice Cream Man has my heart whereas Grave Digger has my boys attention and Monster Mutt has my girls attention!
The Rollover!
The Monster Jam athletes pushed their trucks to the extreme with a few rollovers and some wild rides! I have to admit that the rollovers are my favorite to watch, perhaps it’s just because of being in awe of seeing such a large vehicle on it’s belly! Listening to the crowd ooh and ahh during the crazy wild tricks is always fun.
The crowd went wild!
The most fun is to be had during Monster Jam Freestyle competitions. During the January 13th show we attended during the Freestyle competition, the moment of the night came from Jim Koehler in Avenger. He blew out a BKT tire, and just when it looked like he was going to bust out some cyclones, he hit the Mutant backflip ramp and did a twist in the air! Angel Stadium went WILD!
Get In On The Action!
Get in on the action and vote for your favorite drivers! My 11 year old son confiscated my phone and did all of the voting for me. Results of the audiences votes come in fast and weigh heavily on the drivers scores!
