It’s Almost Christmas Time! Yipee!
Halloween may have just passed but it’s never too early to start planning your families magical trip to the Irvine Park Railroad for the annual Christmas Train! What can possibly be better than riding a train to visit Santa Claus at the North Pole? Nothing! We have visited the Irvine Park Railroad Christmas Train for an enchanting visit to see the big man himself for the last six years. It is one of my most favorite holiday activities in the year because it is honestly such a magical experience that you absolutely must do with your family. I love that my children will have a childhood of memories from the Irvine Park Railroad. We will be attending again this year, all opinions are our own.
A Magical Experience
Founded in April 1996, the Irvine Park Railroad is a one-third scale train that takes both children and adults on a scenic ride through historic Irvine Regional Park. During the annual Christmas Train event, the train will depart from the brightly-lit train station and drop passengers off at the North Pole. Children can share their wish list with Santa and have their photo taken with him too. You may take pictures with your personal camera or you may purchase a photo taken by Irvine Park Railroad ($10 each).
During the Christmas season the locomotive loop of the Irvine Park Railroad becomes a supremely festive winter wonderland known as “Santa’s Village”. The historic Oak trees become adorned with millions of twinkly lights and there are family fun activities every where you look. My children’s favorite activities are cookie decorating, ice fishing and the Christmas carnival games. There are tons of activities to enjoy before or after your visit to see the big guy in the North Pole, some activities cost extra. I love the extra effort the Irvine Park Railroad puts in to ensure that families have a magical, wholesome and amazing last-for-a-lifetime memory making experience.
